Every day I think: Well, how much daily news could there be about AI videos and animation? I mean, it’s a niche after all, and a few steps more complex than ChatGPT or Midjourney. And yet, news abounds and 50% of it reads like a crazy science fiction plot (specifically, items 2 and 4 in the news).

• US Military targets Deepfakes. Deepfakes in military connotations are frightening. A Deepfake could start a war by giving instructions to soldiers on the ground from the ‘right person’, or they could cause a surrender or a stop to war, like the Deepfake of Ukranian President Zelenskyy that asked his soldiers to lay down their arms.

• Pixar’s ‘Elemental’ lays the foundation for AI workflow in animation.
